I went to change a power steering pump line on a friends Ford years ago.A mk8 ford transit is an absolute pile of wank...
Its made to fail on every level.. and new exhaust cleaning system is a blatant cash cow.. i dont know how manufacturers are allowed to get away with this.. my local ford dealer has a waiting list of over 60 vans for the same problems.. and these are brand new vans.. jus one thing fails after another.. sensors and electrical gremlins.. sensors are cheap but spending 5 hours at 120 an hour to diagnose is a fucking piss take...
Gonna get a stage 1 remap with egr and dpf delete.. then decat it and remove as much of this electrical bollocks as possible.. like hill start assist that never works...
Fuck ford completely..
Will never buy ford again... my 12 year old renault traffic will always work...
2000 to 2005 is when cars were at their best and made to last...
If that's what we call the FJ cruiser here I think I remember reading that it isn't the best buy especially for off roadView attachment 24434
Thinking about picking up this bad boy, daughter moved back in to work with us and another vehicle is desirable.
TRD 2007 with 87K on the clock....$26K US$

They were shit...Holdens ruled!Old Ford's were great btw
I was always a Holden manThey were shit...Holdens ruled!
New FJ40 are great vehicles for driving to the ski slopes, not much good off road so many better options available for that task...WRX Subaru cost about the same and would be much more fun (and safe) on the road.
But if you do want to go a little bit off-road the FJ would be good...and reliable!
Well you jus keep getting cooler.... im a big subaru fan...WRX Subaru cost about the same and would be much more fun (and safe) on the road.

The wrx sti has 133kw/tonne, this has 156kw/tonne so should be a rocket...I will tell the wife it has Toyota reliability and resale along with the safety of AWD for the icy/snow covered road she travels for work!
Too bad about the drab colours though.
Long live the hot hatch!

My brother is like this, he loves old Toyo Tacomas, or anything not too techie. Personally I welcome newer designs, especially when they mimic the older generation models.Imo car design peaked around 2000...
Maybe caus im getting older i dont know, but new cars jus dont do it for me...
I like the hot hatch styles
Not a fan of electric cars then? I was sort of the same...with motorbikes, just seems wrong to have an odd number of cylinders but I will look past that here only because it is a Toyota so should be reliable.I think the rule is you need at least 1 cylinder per wheel....
Have you seen the build quality of a tesla... a bmw certainly wouldnt be allowed in the wild with the sort of panel gaps i been seeing on teslas...Not a fan of electric cars then?
