Thanks @momofthegoons it was a piece of aromatic cedar i found at the flea market.
The board is mostly sap wood with a little red heart wood.

I was just messing around.

So, its a bit of a hijack but if you love swing, watch this vid on allswing.org. This was recorded in Barcelona, Spain in 2003. My impressions are that, looking at the foot movement, the guy (Kevin) is super smooth and a great dancer. But....the girl (Carla) is screaming hot...oh, and she can dance too. haha

Watch until the end...it gets pretty wild.
