Anything with a 8mm ID is a possibility for a stem. I am sure there are plenty of resourceful people out there. I know if I had vapcaps 25 years ago it would be a point of pride to make your own stems & bongs

One cautionary side note I would add is that I noticed someone on Etsy selling carbon fiber stems for use with DV hardware, including condenser. Is it safe to use carbon fiber as a vape stem if it is lined with, e.g., SS inside? It appears that the research on that question is not definitive at this time but given what I've read thus far I think I will stay away from it as there are plenty of safe material options.
