Another beautiful sunset on the lake. The tree featured here is a landmark.... and last year looked like it was dying. I'm happy to say that it looks much better this year.

Quick road trip to Prescott Arizona 15 to 20 degrees cooler. This is the downtown area, big courthouse square. Use to be the capitol a long time ago. Definite small town feel, but carpetbaggers are moving in ! Hard to find anywhere affordable to live now. Very close to the city of Jerome (my mom was born there) an old mining/ ghost town saved by the hippies in the 70's. Now real artsy fartsy. I love being out of the city. One of the things I like about Arizona is you can get outta town in a hurry. 3 hours north you can ski, then come home and go swimming. People out of the city are very friendly and will give you the shirt off their backs. Great homegrown just north in the Verde Valley . I
