A“UFO researcher” says he has discovered evidence of ancient aliens at the bottom of the Pacific Ocean. The researcher, Scott Waring, shared the discovery earlier this month. Waring believes that a circular object he found off the coast of Nazca, Peru while perusing Google Earth is in fact a submerged UFO.

There has always been a lot of skepticism about the prospect that aliens exist. Some scientists believe that alien life exists on planets we have yet to discover. Others believe that aliens have visited Earth, resulting in the mass of “UFO sightings” that have been reported over the years. There are even some that make a case that octopuses are aliens.
No matter what camp you fall in, the story of this submerged UFO is definitely an intriguing find. The UFO, which Waring reported on in early March, was discovered while Waring was “exploring” the Pacific Ocean using Google Earth. The object in question is a dark circle, and it can be found off the Peruvian coast.
Waring believes that the object is an almost 5-mile-wide UFO sitting at the bottom of the ocean. He also believes that it is somehow directly connected to the Nazca Lines in Peru. This connection, he says is amplified because of the submerged UFO’s proximity to the lines.

What do the Nazca Lines have to do with aliens?

The Nazca Lines are a group of geoglyphs in the Nazca Desert. Archaeologists have long connected the lines as a possible attempt to contact deities in the sky. Others believe they were used as points of observation related to cosmology and astronomy. Unfortunately, because they’re so old, we may never know the true meaning behind them.
Waring believes that the deities the people in ancient Nazca culture were trying to contact could have been aliens, though. Sure, anything is possible, but there’s no solid proof to suggest that as fact.

Is this proof of alien life?

Waring seems intent that the object is a submerged UFO, though. In his original post he writes, “this disk at the bottom of the ocean is 100% proof of ancient aliens and the technology is just sitting there on the bottom of the ocean.”
But is it, really?
While the thought of finding a submerged UFO in the Pacific Ocean is enough to get any fans of alien life excited, there’s just no solid proof to suggest that this object is actually a UFO. It could just as easily be something natural on the bottom of the ocean or even submerged trash of some kind. Without any distinct proof, there’s just no way to say for sure.
There may be alien life out there. After all, it’s a big universe. Unfortunately, we just don’t know. What we do know, though, is that even scientists looking for alien life haven’t been able to find it. Could this new object be another clue to the existence of aliens? I guess that’s up to you to decide.

UFO sleuths make extraordinary discoveries; Congress should take note

Opinion by Marik von Rennenkampff, Opinion Contributor - Yesterday 9:00 AM

Congress is set to hold the first public hearing on UFOs in more than 50 years. Government transparency — long overdue — is at the top of the agenda.
The million-dollar question is whether the U.S. government will admit that UFOs demonstrate extraordinary technology. And why shouldn’t it? The likes of former President Obama, Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah), NASA administrator Bill Nelson and several other former officials and members of Congress have all but stated as much.
John Ratcliffe, former president Trump’s director of national intelligence, summed up the situation: UFOs exhibit “technologies that we don’t have” and – critically – “that we are not capable of defending against.”
Moreover, according to Ratcliffe, UFOs “engage in actions that are difficult to explain, movements that are hard to replicate, that we don’t have the technology for.”
First revealed in late 2017 by explosive reporting in The New York Times, the “Gimbal” video is arguably the most recognizable UFO footage in the public domain. Intense interest on Capitol Hill ultimately led the aviator who recorded the video to brief Congress on the encounter.
In recent months, a small group of UFO sleuths conducted meticulous geometrical analyses of the “Gimbal” incident. They found a highly anomalous flight path for the UFO that, combined with radar observations and credible eyewitness descriptions, confirm that the “Gimbal” object exhibited breakthrough technologies.
Thus, the question before Congress is simple: If so many former officials can state that UFOs demonstrate extraordinary capabilities while, at the same time, members of the public can independently verify these statements, why has the government not admitted as much?
Yes, intelligence analysts are, by their very nature, a cautious and conservative bunch. But at this point, the official refrain that UFOs “require additional rigorous analysis” only fuels undue speculation and further distrust of government.
Ultimately, it takes only one credible, meticulously analyzed incident to make a compelling case that UFOs exhibit extraordinary technology. Thanks to repeatable, verifiable geometrical reconstructions backed by credible witness testimony, the “Gimbal” incident is that case.
According to former Navy F/A-18F fighter pilot Ryan Graves, the Jan. 2015 “Gimbal” encounter occurred as dozens of aviators observed highly anomalous objects, via multiple sensor platforms, on a daily basis. The UFOs, which lacked obvious control surfaces, wings or discernible means of propulsion, remained stationary over the ground — regardless of wind — or moved at considerable speeds for far longer than conventional aircraft.
Graves, who was airborne during the “Gimbal” encounter, recalls that the object seen in the video trailed a “fleet” of four or five of the UFOs typically observed by aviators.
According to Graves, the “Gimbal” object flew remarkably slowly — around 100 knots — at an altitude of approximately 20,000 feet. At such low airspeeds, conventional aircraft are at the cusp of an aerodynamic stall (when an aircraft’s wings no longer generate sufficient lift to fly, let alone maneuver).

Graves, who observed the engagement via his overhead radar display, recalls the slow-moving UFO coming to an apparent stop and, remarkably, reversing direction without turning. Perhaps most intriguingly, the object appeared to rotate in the direction of its flight path.
Steve Justice, noted aerospace engineer and former director of Advanced Systems at Lockheed’s famed “Skunk Works” division, is perplexed by the “Gimbal” video.
According to Justice, when flying at the “Gimbal” object’s altitude, “you want to be up at several hundred miles per hour because the air density is starting to go down, the wings aren’t working so well.” “For the airplanes I would design, to do 100 knots at that altitude [would] require pretty big wings.”
Yet the “Gimbal” UFO has no discernible wings. Nor, for that matter, does it have obvious means of propulsion which under normal circumstances would create a distinctive exhaust plume in infrared video.
Moreover, according to Justice, “I just don’t know of anything that … rotate 90 degrees to flight and decelerate almost to a stop.”
Armed with four detailed, independent geometrical reconstructions of the “Gimbal” encounter, a small group of UFO sleuths has confirmed that the UFO’s flight path matches Justice’s comments, making a conclusive case that the object demonstrated extraordinary technology. (UFO skeptic Mick West developed the most sophisticated of these reconstructions, an interactive simulation that allows users to view the flight path for the “Gimbal” object at various distances.)
Graves, the former fighter pilot, has stated on several occasions that the UFO in the “Gimbal” encounter was approximately 10 nautical miles away from the jet that recorded the video. When viewed from above at this distance, the flight path of the object found by these four models is a remarkable match with what Graves observed on his display. Readers can view the object’s trajectory on West’s simulator by setting “LOS Traversal Method” to “Straight Line” and “TGT Start Distance NM” to “10.”
In an interview, I showed the simulation to Graves, who told me that it “appeared the same, in my mind, as what I saw on the situational awareness page [an overhead radar display].” In fact, Graves reached out to the aviator who recorded the video because the simulation is “such a good replica” of the encounter.
Perhaps most intriguingly, the object’s highly anomalous rotation coincides with the curved flight path found by the four geometric reconstructions.
To be sure, UFO skeptics like West have a wholly different perspective. For one, they dismiss the remarkable congruence among the eyewitness accounts, the flight path found by the geometrical models at the distance described by eyewitnesses and the rotation of the object. Instead, skeptics claim, the “Gimbal” UFO is nothing more than the infrared heat signature from the engines of a mysterious jet some 30 miles in the distance.
But the staggering number of ultra-low probability assumptions demanded by this theory would make Occam spin in his grave. Perhaps most importantly, the latest iteration of West’s simulation does not show a simple trajectory for a plane 30 miles (or farther) in the distance.
While understandably uninterested in engaging in ceaseless nitpicking over the “Gimbal” encounter, Graves pushed back strongly on the “distant jet” theory, telling me, “There’s zero doubt in my mind that [the “Gimbal” object] was under 10 [nautical] miles [away] … to think that there’s just [infrared] glare popping up at 30 miles away shows a lack of understanding of the tactical systems and how they operate.”
Beyond the “Gimbal” video, the 2004 “Tic Tac” incident is among the most widely known — and extraordinary — UFO encounters on record.
Flying off the coast of Southern California, four naval aviators watched at close range as an object with no wings, control surfaces or obvious means of propulsion exhibited staggering flight characteristics. Following the encounter, another aircrew recorded the UFO. With minor edits, the object captured on video bears an uncanny resemblance to the “Tic Tac”-shaped craft described by eyewitnesses (to include two small antenna-like protrusions on the bottom of the object).
For their part, debunkers have yet to demonstrate how a lightly edited image from the “Tic Tac” video fits their theory that (yet another) mysterious distant jet fooled naval aviators and an array of advanced sensors.
Ultimately, if a handful of private citizens can demonstrate that UFOs exhibit the extraordinary technology described by former top officials and members of Congress, it is high time for the U.S. government to admit the obvious.

World's clearest UFO photo revealed after 30 years; it's called 'The Calvine Photo'

The thing about UFO photographs is that they are never clear. Experts and enthusiasts have been disappointed for decades by bad-quality photos and videos of unidentified flying objects.

The photos or videos that surface on the internet most of the time are either too grainy or too dark for anyone to make deductions. For this reason, claims about UFO sightings cannot be fully authenticated.
But recently, the world's 'clearest UFO photo' has been revealed to the world 30 years after it was apparently snapped by two hikers in the Scottish Highlands.

The image was titled Calvine Photograph and originally handed over to Scotland's Daily Record newspaper and then to the Ministry of Defence (MoD) in the early 90s. Since that time, it was never seen by the public.
Reports said the photograph was captured on 4 August 1990 about 35 miles northwest of Perth, near Calvine. The identity of the hikers who spotted the flying object has remained unknown to this day.
The snap shows a big diamond-shaped object hovering in the grey sky, with a plane flying behind it.
It is said the hikers watched the UFO as it hovered in the air for about ten minutes before shooting upwards and disappearing. It was estimated to be 100 feet in Length, according to The Sun.
Who unveiled it to the public?
Dr. David Clarke an academic journalist, uncovered the photo after decades of research. A copy of the photo was in the possession of former RAF press officer, Craig Lindsay.
Dr Clarke has now ensured that the image is included in Sheffield Hallam University’s archives.
"After 32 years, and an intensive investigation, it feels good to be able to show this elusive photograph to the world," he told a newspaper.
This isn't the only clear UFO photo that has been uncovered this year.
In May, a high-resolution photo of what was called 'the best photograph of a UFO ever taken' was released to the public.
The photo was taken 50 years ago by map maker Sergio Loaiza, who was flying at 10,000 feet above the jungles of Costa Rica with 100lb camera, said reports.
During his map survey, he snapped hundreds of black and white photos of Lake Cote and the surrounding rainforest at an altitude of 3,000 metres.
It was when he developed all his snaps, that he spotted an odd detail on the left side of a photo.
However, the object was not very clear in the developed photo by Sergio. The UFO was spotted only after the image was enhanced recently.

Astronomer plans $1.5M expedition to recover possible alien technology in ocean

Luke Gentile - Yesterday 4:00 AM

An astronomer with the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics is planning a $1.5 million expedition to recover what he believes could be alien technology resting on the ocean floor.

A meteor traveling at over 100,000 mph exploded and fell into the South Pacific eight years ago, and academics like professor Avi Loeb believe it was from another star system, according to a report.

By retrieving the debris of that meteor, Loeb said he hopes to discover its origins, going so far as to suggest it might be alien technology.

The object is designated CNEOS 2014-01-08, and it was first detected by satellites in 2014, according to the report.

After receiving data from its detection, Loeb and Amir Siraj, who was at Harvard University at the time studying astrophysics, posited in 2019 that it was not from Earth's solar system.

"It moved very fast, roughly 40 kilometers per second, when it exploded in the lower atmosphere," Loeb said. "And from that, we can infer that it was moving much too fast to be bound to the sun."

The scientists' initial work was rejected due to incomplete data, but in April of this year, NASA released a statement that appeared to confirm the notion that the object was from another solar system.

With this new knowledge in hand, Loeb announced he would launch a privately funded expedition to recover the pieces of the object resting on the ocean floor, according to the report.

"It's just like mowing the lawn," according to Loeb. "We are planning to use a sled with a magnet that will scoop a very thin layer off the top of the muck."
When found, he hopes to study the object's composition.

"There is also the possibility that it will be made of some alloy that nature doesn't put together, and that would imply the object is technological," Loeb said. "If you ask what my wish is, if it's indeed of artificial origin, and there was some component of the object that survived, and if it has any buttons on it, I would love to press them."
The idea of the debris having extraterrestrial origins excites Loeb, but many other astronomers remain skeptical of the notion, the report noted.

They allege there are far more and far simpler "natural" explanations, the report noted, and that the data is incomplete and has been "sanitized."

"I think there's a case to be made that this could be interstellar in origin," Arizona State University planetary scientist Meenakshi Wadhwa said.

"[But I would] add the caveat that none of the work so far on this is in the peer-reviewed literature. ... The science has not really been vetted to the extent that I would like to see it vetted."

Another critic appeared to have little faith in the idea of an expedition.

"If you want to invest in renting a submarine and going down to the bottom of the ocean on ... a wild-goose chase, you can do it," Ethan Siegel, an astrophysicist and science communicator, said. "If you want to take all of your money and dump it into the middle of the ocean, you can do that too."

Loeb is undeterred by the criticism and called his expedition an effort in "interstellar archaeology."

"My point is if a cave dweller were to find a cellphone, the cave dweller would argue the cellphone is a rock of a type that we've never seen before," he said. "And the only way to find out is to press some buttons on this cellphone and realize that it records your voice, it records your image. Then it will be clear that it is not rock."

Mysterious objects seen over several states

KOLD News 13 Staff - Yesterday 7:46 AM

TUCSON, Ariz. (KOLD News 13) - Southern Arizonans are baffled by strange lights spotted in the early morning sky on Wednesday, Sept. 7.

The first object was observed at about 5:20 a.m. in Tucson.
As seen in the University of Arizona Hydrology and Atmospheric Sciences webcam, it appears to be flying to the west or northwest at a seemingly low altitude.
After the object goes out of view, another is seen descending at the extreme left of the camera’s view.
Strange sightings are not alien to Arizonans. In fact, state 48 is a hotspot for unidentified flying objects (UFO), ranking in the top six states at the National UFO Reporting Center.
“I have very seldom seen a piece of footage which seems to capture two entirely separate UFO events,” said Nick Pope, a former UFO investigator for the British Ministry of Defense. “It’s like two for the price of one. It’s an amazing piece of footage and a great catch.”

Pope, who is on the popular TV series Ancient Aliens, lives in Tucson. He says the U.K. and the U.S. governments have a similar process of elimination.

“First of all, you would interview the witnesses,” said Pope. “I understand this is picked up on a remote camera, but some people around other parts of the U.S. did see it too. So, the first step is to identify and speak to as many people as possible to try to piece together a coherent picture of what happened. The second step is to reach out to the military. It may be that there is some military activity that might explain a UFO sighting, whether it’s aircraft exercising or dropping flares. Radar is also very important. A visual sighting corroborated by radar evidence is priceless.”
According to WFIE, similar objects were seen over areas of Kentucky as well.
Meteorologist Arden Gregory said those were likely SpaceX Starlink Satellites that were visible for a few minutes. According to Planetary Science Institute (PSI), astronomers agree.
“A neat sight for sure, but nothing to be worried about,” Gregory said.
“The object moving at a very constant and level speed, it does say to me that it’s likely to be a satellite,” said Pope. “The second object is rather more interesting in the way it appeared to be falling to earth. Again, with my skeptical hat on, I would say it’s likely to be a fireball meteor. I would love it to be aliens because that would be the most interesting and fun explanation. Sadly, in this case, I don’t think that’s the answer. But if we are going to make first contact, I would love it to be Tucson.
