Lunacy We all gotta eat, right? (Food Porn)

So... I am a total fiend when it comes to breakfast sandwiches from the smoke wagon at my local farmer's market. But it was their last day for the season... and I was starved... and I could smell it... sigh... so much for the diet today.

Smoked pulled pork with an egg and cheese on a Hawaiian bun..... To. Fucking. Die. For.

I didn't host Thanksgiving this year, so there were no leftovers to be had.... And while I don't mind not having to do all the work, leftovers are something I sort of miss.

In any case, comfort food was needed yesterday. Stuffed cabbage rolls with mashed potatoes and green beans fit the bill.

since Ezekiel essentially buried us for two days, we made Turkey pot pies to warm up.
used cannabutter for da Roux. Added some leftover Turkey sauce, cant ask for a,better snow day meal.
made a few in Ramekins, and one giant one in a pyrex baking dish.
i wish i could have shared it with VA Gourmands.

@Helios that looks really good.... I might have to give that one a try soon. Spicy comfort food.

I went out to breakfast this morning... sort of a last 'hurrah' before surgery. Decided screw the diet and ordered something that I don't normally allow myself to eat; Pineapple Upside Down pancakes with Butter Rum syrup. Dear god these are good... The have a bit of a praline crisp on the edges from the brown sugar they put on prior to flipping. YUM!!!!
