You just spread your dab on the foil heating element. The wick is just if you want e-juice with it. Flavored e-juice should work well for dabable concentrate that isn't quite first cut. Neat AVG gives you just the natural flavors for your tastiest concentrates.

In the image in the OP, the brown spot in the center is a shatter dab pressed up against the nexMESH.
