Well…. there’s no easy way for me to say this. So the only way to do it is to rip the bandaid off……

On December 9th, the site’s server is set to renew. And I have made the very difficult decision of not renewing it and closing down the forum.

It’s been close to eight years since I started the asylum. Overall it’s been a great community of people; knowledgeable, helpful and fun. Exactly what I had hoped to accomplish. I truly appreciate and thank all of you for the support and help I’ve gotten in making this a great (imo ) site. I have friends here from the past and I’ve met some wonderful new people. We’ve also lost some… some moving on and, unfortunately, some passing away. I’ll really miss this. And all of you. But it’s time to turn the page and move on.

If anyone wants to contact me, I can be reached at momofthegoons@yahoo.com. And I am on Instagram. I haven’t posted there for a while but I check in daily. And who knows? Posting something daily has become a habit that may be hard to break. You may see me get active there again.

Meanwhile, I’ll be posting here until the last day. Going down with the ship so to speak lol. Hope some of you will join me.

dang....well, we did make some great friendships here and hopefully they will continue after the site shuts down...or at least some of them.

You did a great job, Mom....and this site was very community oriented vice some other similar sites.

I will miss it and not sure where there will ever again be the kind of content in some of the great subforums.

Everything passes....but its still sad.

Oh, and I take an XL t-shirt! hahaha

What a sad day. Whilst I have been out of action for a while here it is still a sad day to wake up to this news.

@momofthegoons thank you for providing a place of refuge & sanity in a rather insane world. Funny how the asylum folk often had remarkable clarity of thought.

I can only apologise for my absence here but life & health issues have played their role.

Nice to see some of the old & bold are still here kicking the proverbial tin can down the street.

What?!
I am really sad to learn that this forum is going to be shut down. This is extremely upsetting! Our community—full of discussions, shared experiences, opinions, and so much more—like telling each other how high we are on a scale from 0 to 10, and so much more, is going to disappear?

This forum means so much to me. I became a member when I made a big switch in my life: moving from smoking to vaping. Here, I gained insights , including starting to grow my own , which changed so much for me—beginning with thoroughly enjoying vaping a lot of , discovering the world of edibles, and more.

I even kept a journal of my first grow on this forum, as well as a second one, which sparked a heated discussion about experimenting with some crazy stuff.

All the amazing stories shared by everyone, the pictures of your grows, and so much more—gone?

It’s a shame!

Is there truly no way to save this forum?
