Do you have any thoughts about cannabutter sold at dispensaries. It's easy enough to make at home but I can't properly dearb here due to the odor.

Would a 450mg (THC) 4oz container be worth purchasing? I'd probably make cookies with it.

4 ounces is a half a cup.
You could make a Betty Crocker instant cookie mix with that.
4 ounces is basically a stick of butter.

While there is argument about this, ANY person that has ever tried my butter say that it is the most potent they have ever had.
I also have bought butter at dispensaries to test it out, and I also have eaten butter whose weed was decarbed first.
I have tried lecithen, and found no improvement.
The butter I make is NOT from decarbed bud.
It stays in the mix in the crock pot for 8 - 12 hours (depending on available time)
I believe that the decarboxylation occurs during this half day sitting on heat as the butter absorbs all goods from the plant matter.

All I can add is that all dispensaries do not have the exact same quality of goods.
Try it and learn if you think it is the quality you need.

This is great information! You've given me some good ideas with regards to the 12 hour time period and I have a method in mind now. I'm going to give it a go later next month. Will report back then.
