i like both versions a lot. i posted the pumpkins first because thats the version i was introduced to initially & as such it is closer to my heart. what a powerful song. it was there at the very beginning for me - when i started buying my first music and discovering worlds. throughout pivotal moments it was somehow there too (last time i noticed was on my 30th birthday in the hotel bar i was sitting / drinking). i am in sick tonght & trying to teach this to myself on the guitar. i really am an absolute beginner, this is hard! but what a song.
