Made a salad with the left over turkey from the other night... added apples, roasted pecans, celery, fresh parsley. Then made a dressing with yogurt, a bit of mayo, dijon mustard, lemon juice and touch of honey.

Happy Robbie Burns day everyone! We celebrated with Haggis, Scotch meat pies with whiskey sauce, Natties and Peeps and a Spotted Dick pudding with caramel sauce for dessert. Is officially falls on tomorrow, but it's Sunday, so...

Spent some time cooking yesterday. First up was getting some short ribs marinating overnight so they can be put in a crock pot today and cook for about 8 - 10 hours on low.

But that didn't solve the dinner dilemma for yesterday. So I whipped up some pineapple fried rice with shrimp.

@Kellya86 that looks amazing, I usually procrastinate to cook rumps....we source GFGF and its just super dry, fucker is like cardboard here.
The only way It has been usable is in slooooooow stews and things like that.

I tried out a recipe for Portuguese Egg Tarts, known for their signature scorched custard top. They are a favorite treat of mine. They weren't as pretty as the ones from the Chinese bakery but they certainly rivaled them in taste.
