We went on a trip to Mount St Helens. When I took this picture I felt like I could almost reach out and touch it. You can see where the top blew off. Where the crater is. We could still see stumps from trees that were almost burnt to the ground. You can still see ash along the rivers. It was a horrible disaster for our state. The Feds helped the state tremendously with the clean up and building bridges and roads.

We drove as far as we could until there was a gate.
