@Vitolo 's Livermush post inspired me to show what I do when left to my own devices (entire family is out of town, even Rocky) whilst food shopping and feeling sorry for myself (yesterday)...:

Nope, that's not Bologna, like I'm sure you probably assume, it's liverwurst! And not some fru-fru, expensive kind either, it's the cheap(er) stuff, just bubbling with nitrates and other artificial crap... but for like a $2 lunch (yes, it's late) that took like 2 minutes to "prepare", it actually tastes amazing to me now that I nuked the cheese lightly and slapped on some brown mustard :thumbsup:. The "air finished" chips and spring water should make up for it, right? (shhh don't tell Erin :buenrollo:)

And of course, I had to get some black pastrami brisket the other day, too... nice and fatty!:

Zapped quickly in the nukrowave w/Muenster, drained, slid onto a warm cheap bun w/plenty of German mustard (no sauerkraut today)... fast, easy, cheap and delicious... great for hot weather noms! (I reuse paper plates when I'm alone)
 
Sorry, no pics today... not worth it.

After unashamedly stuffing a couple/few 10" long grilled "garlic & cheese" (sharp provolone and some Romano, I'm sure) sausage links for din last night, I decided to skip breakies today and am currently kinda enjoying a store bought/prepared "big salad" (Seinfeld ref) with a little creamy Italian... a very simple basic but large "garden" salad, or one would hope... but I just wanna know why, for the love of gawd, is there a big ol' pile of what looks to be grilled corn, but tastes like canned corn, on one side hidden under some lettuce....?! Since when does corn go on a "garden" salad....? Holy Mother of..... I gotta look at these things more closely!

Voila! Lunch (late, a few hours ago) is soived...!:

Turkey, Prosciutto & Swiss Pocket

1 large pita cut in half, stuffed into itself
1 wad "all-natural" deli sliced, extremely dry, turkey breast
1 wad cheap, over-salty, sliced, domestic prosciutto... crappy market doesn't even have imported, wtf?!
2 rather thin but large slices Finlandia Swiss cheese (full fat n salt)
20 or so, shakes salt & pepper (crazy humidity here)
1 thin layer German whole grain brown mustard
ZERO mayo :ugh::confused:
1 giant pile store brand (Hannaford's) salt & malt vinegar (full fat & salt) kettle chips
1 whole half sour pickle
1 bottle spring water
1 reused paper plate
1 bite taken outta sammich before pic
