It’s been awhile since I’ve been here, but I picked up pizza making as a hobby somewhere along the way.

That crust is insane…. Do you have a recipe you’d care to share? We’ve been contemplating one of those ovens. My son wants to build a big wood burning brick oven. These look way more… practical? :biggrin:

I wouldn’t mind knowing a bit about how they work. Do you use a stone?

Thank you! Yeah, these Ooni ovens are pretty practical but like your son, I’m really wanting a big oven. Looking at one that can fit 2 at once.

I’d gladly share my dough recipe but I literally try something different every time. I use either Ooni’s pizza app or The Pizza App. I’ve been using Caputo Blue flower but really liked the pizza I made with the King Arthur pizza flour. I will advise at least an 8hr proof - it’ll be way easier on your stomach.
 
There are a few types of Dragon Fruit that I have eaten.
I like the yellow best.

There are:
  1. Israeli Yellow Dragon Fruit (sometimes called Golden).
  2. Aussie Gold (somtimes paler)
  3. White Dragon Fruit (has a red outer shell... most common Dragon Fruit))
  4. Red Dragon Fruit (on the outside it looks like the White Dragon Fruit... this has the most sugar)
  5. Blue Dragon Fruit (Rare... shell can be red, Blue, or purple)
  6. Yellow Dragon Fruit ... The one I called my favorite(the flavor is a sweet, and non citric... almost floral picture above).
Other specific specialty ones:
  • ALICE. Dragon Fruit.
  • AMERICAN BEAUTY. Dragon Fruit.
  • BLOODY MARY. Dragon Fruit.
  • COSMIC CHARLIE. Dragon Fruit.
  • COSTA RICAN SUNSET. Dragon Fruit.
  • DARK STAR. Dragon Fruit.
  • DAVID BOWIE. Dragon Fruit.
  • DELIGHT. Dragon Fruit.

My Favorite starts at 1:51
It can be peeled and eaten (but it's juicy), melon balled, cubed, sliced or scooped with a spoon.
Give it a shot friends. Very high in antioxidants.
