This is Olivier Latry playing Maurice Durufle's Tocatta on the organ at Notre Dame in 2014. Heard him play several pieces from this album there a year earlier.

Returning from an unbelievably stressful trip, heard an interview with Latry, who is optimistic about the organ. Also the Extrait des 24 Pièces de Fantaisie by Louis Vierne (track 9).

Vierne was organist at Notre Dame from 1900 to 1937. Durufle was by his friend's side when he died at the organ during a performance. Vierne clutched his chest and slid from the bench. His dying foot resting upon the E pedal, which rang out through the cathedral.

True story. If Vierne was cursed with blindness, he was clearly blessed in other things.
