This is a "bucket list" destination for me... Pingualuit crater in Quebec:
$4500 for 9 days (plus whatever it takes to get to Montreal): Only home to a special kind of landlocked arctic char... a freaky lookin' cannibal one:
Maine has a rare, special kind of Arctic Charr, too. It's locally known as a "blue back":
And also known (locally in NH) as a Sunapee Trout:
As well a Quebec Red Trout:
I don't "kill fish" too often anymore these days (usually only with the kiddos)... it's more about being there and then maybe seeing them than anything else (it always really was).
