Lunacy Random Thoughts

You know... I always thought he got sort of a bad rap on that one. Like no other guy has ever done that at a porn theater? :idon'tknow: Ruined his career for a long time.

According to this article his Pee Wee character was more risque before being picked up by CBS. He used to have mirrors on his shoes to look up girls skirts. Now... any of you guys into girls gonna tell me that if you could have bought those from the back page of the comics (along with that whoopie cushion) that you wouldn't have sprung for them in a heartbeat? :dog:
I confess to the whoopie cushion! But nowadays, mirrored shoes can be Risky Business! :tinfoil:

The human body is a terrible design...
I don't want to poo poo mother natures creation, honed over millions of years of evolution...
Or made instantly, whichever you believe...

But id have done things much differently...
For a start, why put all the important shit on a little stem hanging out the top of your body...
Surely the brain is better off somewhere more protected, like in the rib cage???
The head just seems too detachable for my liking....

Next up is testicles....
Why oh why would you put the most sensitive part of the body, dangling precariously between the legs????
And why can a tiny knock, incapacitate even the manliest of men....????

This is just a couple of things, the list goes on...
So many design flaws... cancer to name one....

I watched 'The Ghost in the Shell' last night, i would very much like a synthetic body...

If I'm not mistaken, the placement of both parts you mentioned are located as such to accommodate heat dissipation.
Not sure on the brain, but the other bits, well if they were located inside your body you'd be asking yourself if you liked them hard boiled or fried! :thinker:

After 30 years of wearing glasses, I came home with contacts today. So far I'm not impressed. I like not wearing my glasses but I can't see as well with the contacts. I'll give it it some time but this may not work out.

Anyone here have Lasik or any type of laser eye surgery? Regret it? Would you do it again? Thoughts?

Yeah I get that the temperature of the little fellas has to be regulated, but surely that could have been done a different way????

@BD9 my dad had laser eye surgery 10 years ago..
He said it was great and still is after 10 years..
I'm definatly gonna get it done soon...

A friend of mine had laser eye surgery.

It wasn't a very enjoyable procedure and he had a few issues with haloing.

However on the whole that was over 8 years ago and he has been delighted with the results once the initial issues resolved themselves.

I believe his initial problems were related to not giving his eyes a chance to properly heal from the procedure before going back to work which at the time was roadside car breakdown assistance so mostly driving at night.

At least you guys will see the zombies coming

"A suction pad was attached to my eyeball and I went temporarily blind,
but I’m free of my grubby specs and ready for the apocalypse"

:sherlock:

Hmm............. That procedure sounds horrible. Waxy taste in the back of throat, sleeping in googles, maybe contacts/glasses aren't so bad.

First sunburn of the season. 55 degrees and very sunny today so I decide to start working on a new bed for my daylilies and hostas. 4 hours later one side of my forehead and the back of my neck are burnt.

I had my eyes done shortly after they invented the laser, and went from 20:400 to 20:18. No glasses at all for 18 years, and now into very light progressives. The slight discomfort is worth it.

Random thought of the day - it's great to reconnect with old friends. Especially the types of friends who you haven't seen for years, and when they show up it's like you were last together 3 days ago. I've found a few military friends like that which is always a special feeling, but it turns out I have some civilian friends like that as well, and it makes me feel a little squishy. Don't tell anyone tho, k? This is just between us...

;)

I never had Lasik, however, the inflammation from my autoimmune disease clouded my lenses so I just recently had cataracts surgery. The procedure was simple and painless, just lots and lots of eye drops. The cool thing is I had 20/800 vision for most of my life, severely nearsighted. Now I have 20/20 in the right eye and 20/25 in the left. I choose to only use reading glasses when necessary and I can get them at the dollar store. Not a perfect solution but it is so amazing to see, drive and do things without glasses and to be able to wear non prescription sunglasses . . .

I just helped a fellow Wiccan sister get her very first vaporizer ... I feel so proud. :)
My sister-in-law is Wiccan. Awhile back, she used my vaporizer with me and liked it much better than smoking so we got her an herbalAire H3 for Christmas. She's been taking it to California conventions and one of her friends in San Francisco is planning on getting one (or already has?). I felt good about it, too.

Oh, my fucking god.....I'm so pissed right now.

I asked a friend if she was for Mike Pence's gay conversion therapy, and how is that NOT pushing Christian values on everyone else?

After pulling several teeth, just to get her to answer, she said this, "it should be on a case by case basis." Totally not answering how it's not pushing Christian beliefs. But....case by case basis?? Are you fucking kidding me???!!!

I may be unfriending someone soon.....::sigh::
