I have had the hardest 3 weeks work ever..
I have been digging out compacted rubble 2 weeks solid.. now im carrying many heavy slabs much distance due to limited access on this job.. hence no digger...
My back is done.. iv woke up this morning and am struggling to get up... standing hurts lots..
Lifting the slabs out of the box cant be done with legs.. its all lower back..
Anyway im only a third way through the slabbing..
The i get 20 tons of top soil to get through..
Then all the turf..
Then im done..

Wow, that made me a bit dizzy trying to see all those dots...nearly locked up the old GPU.

Owww!
My brain hurts
thought it was not suppose to feel pain

On the bright side, trying to disable the dashboard icon on my f*****g tablet I wiped all my pinned sites, downloads, some content and a bunch of pics
18 months of research that I lazily did not back up has to be looked up and down loaded again
All my shopping carts will be empty
And I have to organize everything
And as much as I will stubbornly fight admitting it, its actually going to be a good thing

Wasted a totally good hissy fit on something that on the surface looked like a disaster but in reality will end up being positive
Have to spend the rest of the day signing in and looking up or resetting passwords

We are seeing actual shortages here in Montana now.
No peat moss,no sunshine mix,no tractor parts taking ten days for a radiator hose.
Gas is way up and groceries are fucking ridiculous.
Cost $187.00 for a sheet of drywall and 20 feet of pvc pipe this week at ace.
None of this seems normal or on accident, what the actual fuck?

I saw something the other day comparing the cost from last year to this building a small deck. What cost around $800 last year now costs over $3,000. Wtf is right...

@arb California and Nevada are in 100% drought,
farmers are told (bribed) not to grow any more and destroy their crops,
otherwise they wont get subsidized.
Not sure how legit this is..

They are on the conspiracy nutters list,
You really should stop trawling the bottom of the web for news @Helios

I'm surprised its taken you this long to start seeing shortages honestly

Around here any sort of construction project is going 3-4 times pre-covid cost. Literally anything you need in order to build anything... even a birdhouse is 3-4 X normal. One of my closest friends has a lumber yard in the Bronx, theyre getting hammered with rising costs and angry customers. My neighbor is an electrician, same thing... he's doing jobs and having to explain to the homeowner or GC why his bills are suddenly skyrocketing...it's all in material. On top of that transporting the product from manufacture to destination is getting more expensive as well

Either way it doesn't add up to me, and I'm not really seeing COVID as an acceptable excuse anymore for supply chain interruptions.

Greed and opportunity present themselves
Too many of us embrace it
Ugly side of our economic system
How much did CEO pay go up during the pandemic?

Random thought
No more covid threads.....please!
Harshes my buzz, man!

Too many folks see the stimulus payments as reason to raise their rates
See this with a lot of contractors
Had a job with minimal materials but the rates were through the roof
When questioned I got a shrug and the excuse that's the way it is
That is greed!
