Why thank you
@420SOS
I've found that most beginning vaporists feel the need for that same feel and cloud production they had from pipes and joints. So a heavy hitter is usually in order. Or something that emulates the act of smoking. And these days, portability is also something that people desire.
When I first started vaping, the selection was slim. There were only a few desktop vapes and some were niche vapes (like the log vape). The Magic Flight Launch Box was one of the first portables. Wow have we come a long way since then.
A lot of people are turning to the Dynavap VapCap series as a good vape. Because you can use a torch with it, and it's shaped like a cigarette, it emulates that smoking experience. You can get monster rips off of it. And while it is a good way to micro dose, you can also use concentrates with it. There are a ton of artisan after market stem makers these days if you want to get fancy. And then the induction heater; which takes the torch out of the equation with the Dynavap and is battery powered.
For a battery powered portable, it really depends on budget. But there a several good smaller, stealthier portable. Two are the Fury2 and the Edge. They can be purchased with dosing caps that can be pre-loaded adding to the stealth factor. And are palm-able sized portables.
In a desktop, for stealth, I'm partial to log vapes. They're what really got me into vaping. They can be used for aroma therapy in the home right after vaping so it will mask the smell. And because they are usually made of quite pretty wood, people just don't equate them as paraphernalia; even before you put the aroma cup on.
However... what quickly happens is that you develop, what we call, VAS; Vaporizer Acquisition Syndrome. This... no matter how much you protest and say it will never happen... is followed by GAS; Glass Acquisition Syndrome.
God.... then there's the world of concentrates and the various wax pens and atomizers.... They can be quite stealthy as well. There are some set ups that look like you are vaping an ecig set up; the SAI springs to mind.
It's all what you're into; there is no best vape.
All this rambling aside, I'm sure other members will come on with other suggestions. There are some great starter vapes out there and I sure haven't tried them all.
Thanks for bring up the question.
