Here comes a new stand! :)

It's a red narra roots piece with bog oak inlay, and a bog oak bowl.

I named it: the red bridge

With double magnets!

The bog oak bowl...

And behind it...

a little touch of jewelry: ebony and cultured pearl :)

The carved part is in basswood, and the stem in a gorgeous amboyna burl piece.

And if the first stem is too short, we can add one more in Macassar Ebony...

I was working on a deluxe stand called " Blue lines".

It could be adapted for VapCaps, grasshopper, or WoodScents...

I made it from a Red Narra piece and turquoise...

The box is in spalted beech and red narra (depth 3.8cm)

The narra and the amboyna burl with beech bowl from the previous page are my new favorites.
I'm with mom on the sleek look , beautiful . It just makes me feel good to look at that burl. Hmmmm

Carving is always a special thing for me, as it's a slow work, where each session brings a step towards the final shape. I like the way the piece of wood reveals the final character. :)

So here it is...

The stem is in a beautiful ash piece, with a glass tube who can be easily removable.
I pyrograved the patterns on both side.

This pipe is made to be used with a VC tip, and performs the best with a induction heater.
It's really pleasant to hold it in the hand.
