I've watched this guy before too Scotty
Yea I know GW was buying GM factories
Cherry owns MG already
SsangYong has shares in Range Rover

Give it a few years and I think we will start to see some forward motion with the EV
New technology in batteries is making things better for solar and uses such as this

Very cool car. Holden made some great Aussie cars like the Torana A9X below.

Took Francine for a little cobweb clean today. I had forgotten I had the back seats down & it was snarling & barking like an angry dog. So much personality compared to other hatches.

The Ebussy..
I guess it depends on one's module how far that 40kwh will haul.
Auto’s have special place in the heart of some?
Electric powered car’s are next in CIVILIZED behavior!
My wife & I got a SUV gas powered?
NEXT purchase will be modern (electric) in quest 2-B CIVILIZED!
Decent & realative post! Thank U @Helios .

3500 km round trip done recently
My mates toyboata chucked a hissy fit and threw it's shoe off
Top and bottom ball joints and a cv at 90km
Lucky it didn't do it the day before on the dirt tracks and mud where no tow truck was coming

My lil Chinese 4x4 kept up and didn't miss a beat
Didn't break either on the same tracks keeping up with my mate who was driving too hard

The toyboata had another cry and blew the first spare on the way home too

I will give it a break considering it was towing a trailer

Impressed with the GW though
I grew up driving Hibux's in the bush and this car is a dream to drive

I have upgraded it a bit since I bought it though from factory

Better airbox with bigger intake and a K&N air filter
First cat cut and new straight through to second cat extractors (gave major torque increase in lower revs, these are choked up from factory because of Chinese emission laws)
New suspension and a 2 inch lift with hd shocks
Factory shocks not very good tbh

With these mods it is a very capable car

Next I want locker or maybe just auto lokkas and a winch
I have a roo bar with light bar and rock sliders to go too and then bigger tyres

Oh yea, the toyboata cost my mate $650 in fuel halfway
I paid $500 round trip.....

BMW’s are well made.
A decade or 2 ago, rolling money pits nowadays...cheap plastic everything that cracks with age. :twocents:

I wouldn't own a BMW or jeep or any of these cars that cost $1500 for second hand starter motor or other expensive parts
Ridiculous running costs after an initial bankruptcy purchase

Some are great cars but not worth the cash to keep running

@Helios both the Kia and Hyundai you mentioned look like a similar car tbh
I know they are both regarded as reliable car brands these days
I have no experience with those models but they look okay and the Hyundai's in my family have always been worthy

Depends what you want the car for
Definitely no good for off road or touring being a fwd and not full 4x4
But if that isn't your needs they probably are decent cars with enough power to tow

If you only plan on owning a vehicle for a few years and will sell it before 100,00 miles your Kia/Hyundai will be fine. If you want to keep it for many years or hundreds of thousands of miles., get a Toyota

Plenty of the first Hyundai excels still running at over 400,000
Don't know as much about the Kia's except they are winning awards more recent years

I do watch that guy on YouTube too tho
He did a video about the rav4 2008 4 cylinder and said it was the worst Toyota engines ever and blows rings

All cars have lemons and issues and toyboata has been going down in reliability and up in recalls more recently

Personally if the price for a 6 cylinder Hyundai is cheaper I may go to it
Kia maybe not
I still rate toyboatas but not in the same vein as they once were

Go test drive the different cars in your taste and price range and see how they feel to you

Looks like a winner in that class @Helios

I would get a Tundra if were in the US...and could afford it, a real 4wd! needs low range and can tow...a real load!
