I don't know why your kief rosin turned out so dark and not nice
Above are pics of my kief collection
Did a press and got 40% return
Nice flavour and clean on nail
It does taste a bit more hash like than bud rosin and a bit less terpy in the top end
But nice flavour and smoother than some of my bud rosin which I think Is due to wax and/or chlorophyll
It looked lighter the next day too
More light peanut butter look
Mine was just old and too 'green' I still got 54% return from memory, it was just not as nice to vape as the usual stuff I press. It was probably stronger though, easy to gag on if I was not careful (I was not being careful above with the coal shovel approach).
I hope to have better luck with my dry sift table (if it ever gets built).

Dry sift should be good stuff
It should be similar to ice bubble hash
May not be worth squishing when you try but dabbing as is
Kief is lesser quality but makes quality rosin
Should be smoother than bud ime
Even with a slug
I don't think too green is a thing Esp with the kief to rosin
Bud is way more green
Also my electric coffee grinder will have more green in it than your grinder
I do think age had something to do with it though
I thought you got 30% odd in your posts after repressing
OK, my grinder 'green' was not humidity controlled or stored with any thought about it like my green buds.
Edit, I think the 56% was the bubble hash I did...too much aluminium.

Still pressing the June 2018 bottled buds (last 2ltr jar!) this time 10g bottletech (surprise, surprise) but just the one run, preheat with just the bag bulging but nothing showing on the gauge at 105C, 221F then 3 minutes with a constant 2500psi (gauge) for a nice 1.98g puck of candy,

I've noticed the same
A lot more rosin recently and less flower
I have also noticed that with the flower vape break when I have come back to them I have taste again
The mighty and GH and edge had appeared to have lost some flavour
But since hitting the rosin more this has changed
I am thinking that maybe how often I was medicating with flower numbed the taste buds - maybe the constant hot air/vapour was too much and numbed buds
But the less amount of hits with rosin let them grow back and heal?
Either way I noticed yesterday that when I hit the mighty, edge and GH at different times during the day I could taste them all like new
I'd thought they were getting old or something
