He's been gone for two, and the first year after was rough, and that led right into 2020. Now, it's just normal pandemic isolation, but I feel more like a vague outline than a 3-D person. I told myself, I could do it right away, and I didn't have to wait until anything was right. I could do it right later, when I'm not invisible any more, after I've made mistakes, and failed and quit, and made a push to start over and do it right this time.
I wanted to take pictures. This was a problem, as every camera I've had in twenty years was broken by Other Son. There is a camera on my tablet, and it's not ideal, but then neither am . I'm no kind if photographer, so a crappy camera for crappy pictures seemed about right.
I don't like my food getting cold while trying to get a shot, my Grandchildren are homely, and my pets kept wiggling out of their costumes, so there wasn't much left but Vapes and Vape Accesories. Those I could take fail photos of, and I could put them on IG if I ever figured out how. Which I did. Sort of, as long as it's not in a DM. That's impossible for me. I did try. And fail.
But, in fits and starts, and dealing with casts, cats and COVID, I put up some bad pix.
One company contacted me to find out how and where I got so much of their merchandise. I explained I bought it, and they were pleased, but how on Earth else would I have gotten it? Again, I'm not the sort of invisible that can walk through walls, so a movie type heist of Vapes and Vape Accesories wasn't an option.
Another company noticed I put up pictures of their stuff, and starting tossing in a few extra goodies every time I put in an order. I found that not having talent doesn't mean you can't take pictures if you want to. Lack of talent doesn't stop you, and it's still enjoyable to take photos of Vapes and Vape Accesories.
Another company said I make "shrines to cannabis".
I'll take that. Shrines.
Isn't that lovely?
That made me happy, and I've stayed happy.
There is more, but this is too long, and taking up too much space for the invisible.

Happy Thanksgiving all.
Just the other day I was thinking it's been over two years, and not a peep from Other Son. @Madri-Guy said he often stayed away 18 months to 2 years, then came back. It was a grim thought, but he doesn't have my phone number, and is blocked from my email, and I'm not online under my own name. He'd have to crawl out from whatever rock he's been under, and literally be on my doorstep.
Well, today he was on my doorstep. He brought some girl, and they both looked pretty homeless. I didn't answer, and @Madri-Guy is at work, so the car is gone. Other Son started sweeping the steps, and the girl moved things ( checking for spare key?) He left a yellow ball with a fanged face.

It's just been over an hour, but I'm a nervous wreck.
 
China has slapped another tariff on Oz...200% for our wine !
This is on the back of other commodities such as Southern Rock Lobster (crayfish), all I can say is...keep it up, local produce is now going to be available again as most of the good stuff has become too expensive to buy locally...that is changing WOOHOO!
The fuckers have not stopped buying our iron ore though...gotta build those warships!
 
I hope @Madri-Gal and @Madri-Guy are faring well, I have seen a lot of burnt out healthcare workers doing it hard in these troubling times...roll on 2021 and hopefully better times!

Thank you, @LesPlenty. @Madri-Guy has been working 50+ hours a week, and is exhausted. This week he accepted a job at a hospital working in Hospice, and the hours are much better ( 32 hours a week being full time). Because of the holidays, he starts right after New Year's. Here's to 2021.
 
Thankful for wonderful friends and neighbors. Today I was surprised by one neighbor with a truckload of firewood. Then a different neighbor came by with a poinsettia. They were thanking me with a card for all the wonderful things I do. That’s what it’s all about. Helping out others.:smile:
 
It is now Saturday morning and I can't decide if I need more ethanol to go with my rosin or if it may be time for a cuppa...either will be with this,

A Toast to a New Year.

Let's toast to a year when Corona refers to a beer again, Tan to a colour and Henry to a first name.
When positive becomes positive again, isolation a choice for a holiday, cotton swabs are used for ears masks only for Halloween .
Viruses only need Kleenex or toilet paper and 2 meters is the height of a door. Just a “normal” year, but with the understanding that everything is not “just” normal. May 2021 be kind to us, one and all!
