We are redesigning our plates. The 6 ton unit is getting redesigned. We are working to make cheaper more effective tools to improve workflow and save money. Your word is our advertisement so we have to work hard!

BTW the strongway pump pairing is out of stock until late January. I'm sorry about that. We are looking at alternatives in the meantime.

Great stuff @psychonaut, hopefully, Dabpress will eventually just have all this sorted in a single package, surely they could get a Chinese manufactured pump with a gauge in China and just offer the option to have the kit delivered without the pump for the few people that may already have one.
I can wait or maybe get a bottle jack model.

Alright asylum members! I got my strongway pump (no gauge, no hose), strongway hose, and gauge+adapter. As expected, the threading on the gauge+adapter does not fit the strongway parts, so I ordered the reducer bushing and adapter from enerpac to convert this gauge+adapter from 3/8" fittings to 1/4" fittings. I am almost 100% confident this will work without issues but I wont have the enerpac parts until Friday. I will keep you all posted.

In the meantime, here's the parts. I verified the hose fits into the 1/4" NPT port for the gauge on the adapter. So unless I am just missing something, this pump should be retrofitted with a gauge on Friday and we'll have a solution for everyone, anytime, to get a gauge on a hydraulic hand pump.

More pressure should equal more yields up to a point. That press went against my gut, I guess there was either more stem or trim left on those buds, I would have thought there would have been at least a little bit more rosin. As you said, there are a lot of factors. The only way to really do a proper test on this would be to split a cola equally down the middle and press each as you're sampling the same exact bud. I suspect even then there could be some discrepancies but a scientist who's so inclined I'm sure could make it work! =)

The color is the most telling part about the pressure, people will ask "Am I using too much pressure?" and they are really cranking down to try and get yields. So, in a way, it's important to know that you can alter the quality of your product by overdoing it, and to what extent is it worth it? I'd have been just as happy I think pressing both at 2300 PSI or possibly even less.



But the question, BHO or Rosin, what do you prefer? You got some killer prices delivered, enjoy those dabs!
