Lunacy Fur Babies & other critters (the pets thread)

This behaviour is often a sign of impacted anal glands.
One needs to learn how to drain... or "express" the gland by using an upward squeezing motion at the anus.
The scooting is the dog trying to express his own itchy full gland.
 
@Vitolo and @arb the link I provided includes, symptoms, causes and treatments. We were shown the correct procedure by our vet. It's a job many may not fancy doing. :)

I used to know a old vet who's answer to everything was worming and expressing.
Bring your dog in run over by a car.......wormed and expressed just in case.
We worm regularly every 3 months.
Dogs and cats........so much variety in the shit to eat here.
