My week has gone from bad to fanfukintastic.
Sorry to anyone who hasn't enjoyed this week as much and there is a thread where you can tell me that you're not happy I've had such a great time. I won't be offended.
Monday I dropped things, spilled things, then promptly broke things which were so close to being finished, so I threw in the towel and did some menial stuff.
This involved putting a new steel roof on another shed, which lead to some blood loss and the roof looking like a mini crime scene.
The week progresses and I get some other stuff done, the postman arrives a couple of times with bundles of joy.
My new chuck and collets, some tube and some fantastic wood, the supplier will be getting repeat custom.
I get the Blackwood and Thuya Square done and I'm well chuffed. My weeks picked up.
Then a green package. Things that make you go MMM.
I've got PM's to answer and having conversations with
@Ed's TnT and
@Mojo.
I see some fantastic Cocobolo boxes at a show in PR, global communications gotta love 'em.
Some wood on the way for a couple of stems to match a Bog Oak WS, and I'm getting some Tony's Seasoning and Hot Tamales.
Food, wood and cinnamon. I'm made up.
I'm now proper on one and Mrs. PP can see it, I get told to behave as we have to pick up a very close friend who's husband died a year ago to the day, he's dearly missed and as it's the first year it's all a bit sad. They have been like Mrs. PP's Mother and Father.
But that ain't gonna stop me, I'm buzzing. My DV delivery was the icing on the cake, the cherry on top came later.
Out of the blue a customer from a month or so ago emails me, Krom, just to let me know that another Blackwood and Thuya stem I did for him is still being very much enjoyed.
Wow, I know no news is good news and all that, and I get a kick out of seeing and hearing when people post about a stem I've made, but out the blue and an email not a post in a thread, a bit more personal. For me anyway.
So as you can imagine I'm still on one, I think if every week was like this I'd explode. That's if Mrs. PP hadn't roofied me before then.
Cocobolo Daddy Long Toke stem, you've no idea how much I was hoping that this blank had the same character when turned.
And the money shot....
