Vape Dynavap

I have to disagree here

Ever since I went IH I hate torches

I do agree that we are all waiting on the decent and truly pocket sized IH though, this will be the game changer
I tend to agree. The IH completely changed my feelings about the Dynavap. However.... I really admire those who can use it with a torch and do it well. I've just never had any success with it. I combust every time.

I managed to get it in the end, but yea it's not my favourite at all
IH made me love my dv

Even when the zombies take over, I will still be able to use solar to recharge my IH, a torch is handy as a last resort though... if it will light.

Flux Deluxe still seems the best IH on the market to me right now. Small size, only slightly larger than a Dynastash and 3 x 18650 batteries for lots of clicks and easy to swap when they need a recharge. The waiting list is the main issue but he's got his production issues worked out and not everyone on the list is still interested in buying.

Those cooling holes still make it look a bit 'Homemade', I believe quite a few people will jump at the Dynavap version...when it eventually launches, I need a Dynacoil so I night grab one at the same time...just kidding, I think it will be too rich at initial retail, but come sales time, look out!

I have a Lucid IH who is making the being sold on DV's site. Mine is a Mini (apparently no longer made) with batteries. Love the IH, the electronics and induction are spot on. Battery life sucks and in mine the batteries are not easily accessible.

I ordered a Flux yesterday...well, I got on the six month wait list....I mean, why not...I might not even still be around in six months. I ordered it with batteries (three 18650's) and the analog circuit. Some day, maybe it will come.

I rather wish that DV and Lucid did some real engineering. Its not beyond...well, pretty much any decent electrical engineer (which I am not) to design a full pass through system so you can go with either plug and dead batteries or just batteries. I'm just a bit disappointing that DV chose to pluck the low hanging fruit rather than take on all of the challenges in developing what an IH should be. Just my opinion.

I may get one just to have plug in.

To me, the VC took on a new life with IH. Now, unlike my dear friend @momofthegoons , I can operate a torch lighter well with the VCs, but far, far, far prefer the IH.

Cheers all

I see both sides with the IH & use mine 99% of the time because it is convenient. I think you end up with more control using a decent single flame torch so see Kurts point but the convenience trumps everything being an idle bastard.

I think Flux heaters used to make an adjustable power IH that looked really cool, steam-punk looking but only makes the FluxDeluxe now, pity.

I use my IH most of the time but still enjoy the torch occasionally. It's a different experience, you're more involved with a torch and the flame is a hotter source. It's more of a process. I don't really have to pay much attention when using the IH.

Battery power works great for us. We carry the IH from room to room as we're working around the house or sitting out on the deck. I've been thinking about building my own plug-in version using one of pipes BB units. I'd like to find an old wooden box to repurpose but I'm also considering building one myself or having a woodworking friend build a nice one for me. I don't really have a good spot to use it so I'm not in a big rush. Lots of other stuff in front of it on the VAS list.

I had heard of those but hadn’t looked into them before. IMO this is the one to get out of all the customs I’ve looked at. A lot more options and use cases than the LC one DV just released, for not much more money. The only downside is the wait time.

I was meaning you have more control over spin rate, flame size & where you actually heat when using a torch. Adjustable heating speed would be good to experiment with as a slower heat time would allow more heat to be absorbed by the tip.

Bingo. That is exactly my rationale. Mindless vaping is something I specialise in you know

As @LesPlenty mentioned the flux used to be adjustable I think

The homemade jobbies I have also heats slower than the PSM and has a much better taste than the PSM

I see more variables with a lighter
But little benefits

I do like the fact that you can use a bic lighter or soft flame if ever stranded though

I still stand by my comment lol. Love my serpent lighter. Maybe if my caldron was portable..
This is how I feel as well. In love my Pipes Skeletor. I'm very happy to have it. I tend to use my IH up in my bedroom at night, but not always. Overall, I use a jet lighter the most often. Simple, small, easy to use and transport. I have to admit I prefer to twirl my Vapcap over a flame while I contemplate life. Love the ritual.

someone stop me from clicking on the Hydra, the light wood is very appealing, would be an interesting piece to use in the water rig.
I had to return my dark wood HV. It had a mystery chunk of wood inside and none of my tips fit it. It ripped my o rings trying to force it. How am I doing? No really that's true! Bad one for sure. My replacement came yesterday and it's as it should be. I like the way it craddles in the hand for spinning when not using IH. The sculpted nature of it is really nice. Feels better than the Nonavong and I love the nonavong. WAIT, I'm suppose to talk you out of it , sorry
